About me
My name is Edina Jarabin, I am in my 40s, the founder and the manager of Happy Mammy Mother’s Assistance. I am a mother of four kids, with and economist and and a teacher of economist degree. Before the kids’ birth I was a product manager at a multinational company. During my university studies I regularly worked as a camp counsellor in the USA.
Mission
The Happy Mammy Support Service for Mothers aims to provide reliable assistance to mothers of young children in many different areas of their lives. I believe it is important that, instead of self-sacrifice, mothers should have the opportunity to recharge and take care of themselves — mentally, emotionally, and physically.
My main goal is to help create this harmony and balance, so that every mother can become a truly happy and well-balanced mother — a “Happy Mammy”!
Background
From the birth of my first child, it was important to me to be a valuable member of the community of mothers. I founded and led mother-and-baby clubs for nearly 10 years. I have always considered it essential that mothers experience the early stages of motherhood in a happy and fulfilling way, embracing a balanced and joyful approach to motherhood, because only a happy and satisfied mother can raise well-balanced children.
By developing and creating the Happy Mammy concept, I have gained the opportunity to support mothers of young children on a much broader scale and help them find solutions to the challenges arising from their individual life situations.
I launched Happy Mammy in the summer of 2007, and ever since then, the success of the concept has been reaffirmed day after day.
Developments
Since spring 2013, we have been supporting families with young children through a new service. The Happy Mammy Child-Friendly Guesthouse opened its doors in Orosháza-Gyopárosfürdő, right next to the lake and the adventure spa, where every piece of furniture and equipment is designed to ensure the comfort and convenience of families with young children.
What Makes Happy Mammy Special
The uniqueness of the Happy Mammy Support Service for Mothers lies in its personal approach and tailored selection process. Both the selection and introduction of candidates are carried out personally, thereby minimizing distrust and unpleasant surprises.
Based on the feedback from my clients, I provide a unique, much-needed service that fills a gap in the market. My 15 years of professional experience, together with the empathy I have developed as a mother of four with a large household to manage, contribute greatly to selecting the perfect candidates.
As a mother myself, I know exactly what it means to entrust our most precious “treasure” — our child — to a stranger. At the same time, I understand what it means to work for a multinational company while being a mother and managing a household. This experience allows me to understand almost instinctively what each person and family may need.
Social Responsibility
From time to time, I organize free workshops on topics that are important to mothers. One example was the Children in Emergencies first-aid lecture series, regularly held between 2009 and 2011, thanks to the Hungarian Child Rescue Foundation.
In autumn 2015, a workshop on professional home organization was held, featuring presentations by a coach and an interior designer. In the future, I would also like to continue supporting mothers by addressing new and interesting topics.
I believe it is important that mothers of young children should be able to successfully balance their careers with family life. I make an effort to participate in forums and conferences focusing on this topic and to openly share my views on the subject.
I hope that, through my work, I can also make a small contribution at a social level to creating a better balance between work and family life.
Yours sincerely, Edina Jarabin
Finally, here is the testimonial of one of my long-standing and valued clients:
Happy Mammy provides personalized assistance that is truly unparalleled in this field. It offers support to two groups of people who find themselves in particularly difficult situations. On the one hand, there are women and mothers looking for work who struggle to find employment in today’s labor market; on the other hand, there are families who are in need of help. In everyday terms, with a simple matching service, most of these people would probably never find each other.
I personally tried to find a solution and never thought I wouldn’t be able to. I’ve solved countless problems before, so I was sure this one wouldn’t get the better of me either. In the end, I needed Edina’s help. Looking back, I’m actually grateful that I did, because through her I found a helper I otherwise certainly would never have come across — someone who is exactly what I was looking for.
Edina filtered out the candidates who would not have been suitable for us, and I also felt much more confident about someone who had already been interviewed and assessed by her beforehand. Neither side had to feel like it was a failure, because, as I understand it, that is precisely the point of the service: even if a candidate is not the right fit for us, they may still be a perfect match for another family.
But more important than anything else is what I mentioned at the beginning: Happy Mammy provides a solution for two vulnerable groups in society at the same time. After a successful placement, the person looking for work becomes confident again, while the family looking for help is satisfied because they have solved a problem that, due to the distance of the grandparents and the parents’ work commitments, they were unable to solve themselves.
That is why I think of Happy Mammy with gratitude, and I sincerely hope that they will be able to help many more families in the future, with the same outstanding quality and thoroughness of service!
The only thing I regret is that I didn’t think of it myself. :-)
